To set a smooth transition from HKDSE to future IB, we start transforming students’ English skills from early secondary years. Strong emphasis is placed on analytical reading, critical writing and speaking & presentation skills that conform to international standards. Particularly, we raise students’ critical thinking skills to strengthen their cognitives abilities, not only to prepare for their IB admission assessment but also to lay a firm foundation for critical analysis and perspicacity development.

Building from the concepts and skills established, students are stretched to apply what they have learned to IB type rhetorical analysis. They will be able to recognize the implications in readings, the rhetorical devices writers use for effects and become ready for their IB admission assessment. They would develop an analytical mind that’s ready for higher IB requirements..

STAGE 3- MASTERY

$920 / hour
Employing multiple layers of thinking skills, students will appraise the different techniques of writers and the complex messages writers present in IB papers. By now experienced in critical analysis, students will learn to be perspicacious in evaluating different texts and to skilfully justify their commentaries based on detailed analysis, which would ensure them a high grade in English and mature thinking skills that propels them to excel in university and beyond.
